Who's Your Master?

Passage: Galatians 1:10
Proverbs 29:25 - “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”
There are two ways you can live your life:
- You can live for the approval of others (Gal 1:10a)
- You can live for the approval of God (Gal 1:10b)
Possible symptoms of the fear of man:
- Discouragement
- Lack of peace
- Ungratefulness
- Anxiety
- Envy
- Impulsive behavior
- Insincere behavior
- Fickle
- Insecure
- People-pleasing
- Check your social media all the time for comments, likes, etc.
- Discontentment
Possible areas to address within your heart:
- Incorrect view of the sovereignty of God
- Incorrect view of self
- Fear of others
- Lack of understanding of Scripture
- Lack of love for others
- Self-image
- Pride
- Others’ opinions
- Control
- Envy
