1. Don’t confuse God’s work in people’s lives with your work in people’s lives.
2. Be careful to not create a culture where people “clean-up” to impress you.
3. Remember that Christians’ sanctification is a lifelong process.
4. Don’t be surprised by the pain of pastoral ministry.
5. Pastor patiently and gently while never compromising conviction.
6. Never neglect to remind yourself of the gospel.
7. Don’t forget to rest.
